Mary Rowan is no stranger to the Classic Country Music Reunion having appeared here many times since 1993, when she first appeared with her late husband Bobby Rowan.
Mary is formerly of Meaford and now makes her home in the Toronto area.
She recorded four cassette tapes with her husband Bobby Rowan and has since that time recorded four CD’s of her own.
In 2001 she recorded a CD of Gospel Songs. In 2002 when recording “Forever and A Day” in Nashville, TN., she had the great honour of meeting up with Ms. Kitty Wells, and Kitty’s husband Johnny Wright. From that meeting another CD was born, called “A Tribute to Kitty Wells”. Both these CD’s were recorded at KMA Studios, Nashville, under the direction of Producer Keith Bradford and Engineered by Mike Bradford. In about 2007 Mary again went into the studio to record yet another CD and this time at Mel’s Own Sound on the Miss Dixie Records
Label. Produced by Mel Aucoin and engineered by Todd Nolan, “No Other Way” was another hit for Mary, receiving a lot of airplay around the world.
Mary’s is about as traditional as a country singer can get and she is always a crowd pleaser at the Jamborees.
Her bio of things she’s done in her career, which now spans more than 25 years, is extensive. She has traveled to Nashville and Texas where her music was always accepted as the true country music.
We welcome Mary back this year and thank her for filling in at the last moment when a spot on the Friday night show became available. You will enjoy her music and her CD’s will be available at the C.C.M.R. Country Music Store
